is it too much to be one of the top 68 teams annually?

I don't that is setting the bar to high. 2 of 9 years ain't getting it done and it will likely be 2 of 10 after next year.

We should be in the top 40 realistically and peak into top 10-20 occasionally. Brad seems like a good representative of Clemson but his system is just not meeting needed expectations. DRad has something heavy thinking ahead of him.

if it can be done at VPI, it can here***

We are in the top 68 - automatic bids mean

You don’t get the top 68 in the tourney

This article was pretty interesting...

“Even without deep pockets and a deep alumni base to draw from, Clemson has spent, invested and hired wisely. It has remained a leader in fundraising, facilities and victories.

Clemson is the only program ranked outside the Top 25 in revenue that was ranked in the Top 10 of the final USA TODAY Amway coaches poll in each of the previous five football seasons.

Clemson is the only school that has won a national championship in football and reached a Sweet 16 in men’s basketball through the last 20 years while averaging less than $100 million in revenue.

“Every school kind of counts their beans a little differently. So, it’s not exactly apples to apples. It’s probably Gala to Granny Smith apples,” Clemson deputy director of athletics Graham Neff said. “But we feel like we are competitive above our weight class. We definitely try to be efficient in that regard, and very strategic in where we invest and allocate dollars.””

"I've played multiple sports and would bet any amount that I'm still more athletic than you at this present time...."

You have to be better than top 68 to get in the tourney!

Mar 17, 2019, 8:28 PM

More like top 35, as there are 25-30 automatic qualifiers that aren't in the top 68 teams. But it is definitely realistic to expect top 30 most every year, with an occasional top 20 team getting a 4 or 5 seed.

More like top 46. There are 36 at-large bids. Plus generally about 10 conference tourney champions that would be in the top 36 that get an automatic bid instead of taking an at-large.

Yes.

Apparently.

Drad has his priorities straight

Football first.

But BB has been given opportunities. Do they not let hoopsters in Dabo's funhouse?

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”
