Any others are fine for normal hosting. GoDaddy, Network Solutions, etc...

and some of the UI/UX will be different.

I build our sites, and use Dreamweaver with FTP upload. Very simple.

But, if you're looking to use a site builder - the GoDaddy variety is cheaper, but less impressive. So, it kind of depends on your use. If you build yourself, go cheap. If you need a builder, it probably best to check them out for your liking. Most offer free trials anyway. I think the Squarespace builder is per month cost to maintain. You may find some 1-time cost builders cheaper as well

Are you also needing to build the site or just host one?***

That's the question that needs an answer first.

I'm no fan of GoDaddy. They're inexpensive and downtime is almost zero, but they have some quirks that drive me crazy...the worst of which is that DNS records mysteriously revert to their defaults fairly frequently. Of course, if you're building and hosting in GoDaddy then it's not really an issue, but if you're pointing a GoDaddy domain to an external host, then ARRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I'm also not sold on their e-mail platform. If you're adding domain-based e-mail, It's Google G Suite or nothing in my book.

There are plenty of options out there, not sure there's really a 'best' these days. It's really more of a choice of which platform/builder you're most comfortable in since it sounds like your're looking for something basic. The caveat with platform builders is that sometimes you can't make the builder do exactly what you want, and it can also limit SEO functionality. Go with Wordpress and the sky is the limit when you're ready to upgrade, it's easy enough to learn, and then hosting truly won't matter other than price. There are countless options for Wordpress hosting.
