2008 #24 Alabama vs #9 Clemson, that was a total humiliating embarrassment. That was when I knew for a fact that it was time for TB to get ran out of Clemson!!!

Just wondering about that game too but if TB beats Bama then we probably have a whole different timeline.

No doubt, but only for a short while bc he had taken us about as far as he could. I don't think that many would disagree that his choice or his ability to bring in top assistants were limited!!!

He definitely had run out of future success at Clemson. I think there was nothing else he was capable of accomplishing at Clemson, and as we have seen, others must agree with that as well.

We would have beat Bama the first time with DW.

Seems kind of like the obvious choice.

Glendale, Arizona.
The National Championship and perfect 15-0 season that slipped away.

No one mentioned:
1. FSU 1988 (puntrooskie) 2. any game vs uscjr. (during 5 game winning streak) 3. UWVa. (got rid of Steele so I understand why)

I've decided it's too risky to who we are today and how we got here.

I would just change...

The ref crew from the Pitt game. I wouldn’t change anything else cuz we woulda won a thriller on an even playing field. Which is weird to say since it was a home game.
With the first Bammer game, I just wish Mike Williams and Mac were both 100% healthy and could have played the entire game. Those two would have been the deciding factors.

yet slightly different note, I wish ACC refs, heck all refs, would get together and determine what is pass interference and what isn't and make it subject to review in the booth!

in his first ~2.5 years, Dabo wasn't quite ready to take out of the oven.
Why change a game? Each one led to where we are today, the good, the bad and the ugly?
And I'm kewl with that.

1967 Alabama, because ...
Feb 3, 2018, 12:23 PM
|
|
Because we had a really, really good team that year and we had Bama and Kenny Stabler totally on the ropes.
We were the better team that day and we lost because we missed two chip shot field goals.
If we had won that game, we would have gone to a bowl and it would have put Clemson back on the map 10 years earlier than our 1977 resurgence.
As it was, we lost 13-10 and settled for a 6-4 season that left us out of the bowl picture.
