I'm not, he's extremely lazy and complains a lot according to his teammates and his old HS coach. He didn't want to be here so bye, he's gonna blow it at USC also as they will let him be lazy just like they did with Clowney.

I hope he has to sit out this season then gets even lazier and gains 60lbs. Won't be able to play 3downs in a row. I don't wish bad for the kid except that he has to pay his dues for lying and hiring an attorney. I hope he never gets to see a W in the W-L columns for rivalry week.

get the real Clemson experience right away. He might actually develop a little over the next year and suffer a little less. And he will become a distant memory a year sooner if he plays now.

Congrats on contradicting yourself so quickly!
I don't understand the hate for this kid. He was never really a Clemson Tiger...he spent a spring here and realized it's not for him. Why would you want him to be miserable? Let him go where he really wants and play there. You don't have to root for him, but I don't understand rooting for his failure.
Remember how much we laughed at South Carolina fans when XT chose Clemson? Remember how butthurt they were, how douchey they acted? Does anyone remember that? If so, why would you then turn around and do the same thing when a player moves away from us? It's not the exact same situation, I'll grant you that, but shouldn't we try to have some semblance of class here? We've got so much going for us as a program that we don't need to sink to that level. It stinks he went to South Carolina but whatever. Move on.

This is much ado about not very much. He was very late getting his 4th star. He might end up great but he was never considered a "can't miss" prospect.
Swinney's willingness to let him go to SCar certainly says something about the impact he thinks Belk will have down there on an individual basis and from the standpoint that the talent gap between CU and its little rival is so great that another decent player or two isn't going to make any appreciable difference.

Funny how being a fan changes perspective.
8 month’s ago he was an obvious 5 Star talent according to Tiger fans and an obvious 3 Star kind of kid to Gamecock fans.
Now the Gamecock fans see him as a 5 Star talent and Tiger fans see him as a 3 Star kid.

All fans thought the same about him, 4 star that had been lazy ,playing against little competition in hs. Hoped he'd be able to apply himself. He saw he'd not start at Clemson until his 3rd year , and would start at Jr the minute his waiver was approved. Nothing wrong with him, just the vast difference between the talent level of the 2 programs now.FACT!

Spot on! He thought he could come in and start and when he realized he couldn’t because of the depth in front of him, he folded his arms, pouted, took his marbles and went up the road to play for USuCk. He can definitely start there from day 1. Have fun at the Outback Bowl. Make sure they give you a coupon for a blooming onion to eat while watching the Tigers in the playoffs... what a joke

Wouldn't that have been before Wilkins decided to return and he may have been able to contribute with him leaving, as long as he bought in and did the work. Think things quickly changed there with a certain announcement, one that had Belk running away...

that Belk had a LOT of lazy and quit in him. The first time he quit was the night CW decided he wasn't leaving.Quit again the next week when he couldn't keep up/get along in off season work outs.Different breed.
I still think the kid could have contributed if what I read(lazy,unconditioned,over rated and lack of competition in HS)on Gamechicken boards all last year hadn't proven true.
You see, what I thought and hoped for in January and what turned out to be true s Spring Football ended were two different things.
That's OK, his work habits will tear down the example Fivehead has tried to build down there. You know,the way JC's lazy a$$ habits influenced the team, even after he was gone.

What's irrational about it? So you are telling us that Senior leader Wilkins decision to return does not impact a young player's chances on immediate impact, or if people think he'd contribute the first year?? After all, you are posting his thoughts from 7 months ago, pre- spring camp, on January 5th. Wilkins didn't decide to return until January 15th, 10 days later. Belk also came out 4th in the depth chart post spring...I'd say those are things that lead to a pretty rational change of thinking... without taking into account his leaving.

lol...not at 4th on the depth chart and an All-American Senior defensive leader Wilkins returning...are you seriously failing to understand that?? I think anyone from ANY team would expect at the best, the only impact he'd have made is working his way up to at best 3rd string by season end...A bit different than becoming 2nd string battling Huggins for #1.

What would help your point is to find a post of him saying it after seeing Wilkins was returning. I'm doubting he said it again after the All-American chose to return.
I can understand him saying it prior, with him being gone as the assumption...Huggins hasn't made a gigantic impact yet to know he was solidified the spot upon Wilkins exit (he's made one, but no where near enough to say he was the solid #1).

Unlockable at a couple camp visits.
It's obvious he didn't want to put in the work like the rest of our DL. We have a lot of mature leadership on the DL and he didn't seem to fit in with the group.
He'll have a much easier road in Columbia. Big fish small pond of talent.

had been saying it for a solid year. Dabo was trying to build a young man up that quit 4 times while he was here.It's coaching. The fact that he left Spring ball 4th string and showed up at Jr weighing in at 360 pretty much proves he is. Hopefully it's something he'll still grow out of.
