It will be interesting to see what the committee does this year, especially factoring in the new RPI Groups on their team sheets. With Louisville, they are 3-10 versus Group 1 and 5-12 versus the top two groups.

For comparison, Clemson's Group 1 record isn't much better (4-8), but they do have 11 wins over the top-two groups.

Louisville ranks higher on KenPom (32) than Virginia Tech (34), Miami (35), Florida State (37) and NC State (41).

If it comes down to strictly RPI, Louisville seems fine compared to its ACC peers with the win Wednesday, but it's hard to tell how much the committee weighs conference tournaments either.

Notre Dame and the Bonzie Colson injury factor makes them fascinating. I think the committee would've liked Virginia Tech to make it a little easier on them with a win.

decided by this "old formula/RPI" and "new formula/ Quadrant wins" debate....

Looking at RPI, I just can't see them both getting in... even though most consider them "locks"

wait, who's this??***

Why VT is a lock

They finished in the upper 8 of the ACC and have the best win of anybody with that win at UVA. The last top 8 ACC team that didn't make it was Clemson, of course, but that was because of a disastrous non-conference slate and not getting to 20 wins.
