Don't put alot of stock into ESPN's rankings

They are usually the outlier of the group. Really Surprised they have Joe Ngata #159 though. I mean I know their rankings are bad but really?
Also, be sure to tune in @ 7 to watch Booth and Phillips playing on ESPN2

It ain't over til its over. It's a long way to signing day and Dabo does a great job picking young men that fit the Clemson culture. So no worries mate.

Doesn't matter where ESPN rates our recruits. They will still be able to handle the coots easily. Heck Dabo could probably take Appalachian State coach them for a week and whip that coot ###.

Can someone explain to me why Ryan Hilinski would want to go
Oct 11, 2018, 9:39 AM
|

to USuCk? It doesn't make any sense. This is not a butt hurt post because he's not coming to Clemson (doesn't have an offer). It just doesn't add up to me. I would sorta understand it if USuCk was his only SEC offer....not the case.
Is there some connection I don't know about? Family member nearby? Immediate playing time at an SEC school is all I can figure. Although, that would seem to be the case at most of his offers. Head scratcher.

Kids have different reasons... Playing time.... Star Player....Promises...$$$$....or just good recruiting...Just like when CJ committed to us when we were an average team. I bet no one saw that coming.

when making the previous post. Although, traveling from Lake Bulter, FL to Clemson, SC is a little bit different than traveling from Orange, CA to Cootlumbia, SC.

I don't remember all the details, but the Hilinski family

is moving to South Carolina for reasons other than their son Ryan. I can't remember if it is his mother, father, or sister, but something is causing the family to come to South Carolina.
When he committed this was in the news.

ESPN recruiting rankings are garbage

247 is probably closest to being most accurate bc of the composite but rivals might actually be the best overall.

Can't wait to see Coach Mus work his "magic" on Helsinki! Should coach him down to 3rd string by his senior year!

...and... that means what in your thoughts?

1. they have a grand total of 4 in the entire 300 and after those first 2, they don't sniff another until #270 or something like that
2. I expect that we get at least 1 if not 2 of these three: Darnel Wright, Clay Webb, Jadon Haselwood
3. IF those two lead them to ANY level of achievement, it will be at least 3 more years before their impact is truly felt. Hilinski will not beat out Joyner next year if Joyner is given a fair shot at the job, but we now know how that goes with Musky and his Wiener given perry orth's comments that Scarrnechia wasn't given a fair shot to beat out jakey the baby in 2016, so there's that...
the cooters may get a player or two, but like Kinlaw, Blackshear, Bailey and Stanley four years ago, what they tend to get are only blips on the radar

no one saw us getting Wilkins or Ferrell

until they gave us their pledge so, I can see Wright coming in that way as well
I wouldn't think that Spector is a deterrent to taking Haselwood but if you know for sure that the staff has moved on, I trust them to get the guys that are best for the program

It's not as much Spector as it is

the combination of Spector, Ngata, and Ladson.
As for the Wilkins and Ferrell comparisons, it all starts with visits. Until we start getting Darnell Wright on campus more for visits, we're sitting behind the 8-ball.

I will happily be wrong on this but I’m guessing we get 0 of the 3.
Not going after Haselwood as Scott likes the guys he has (with good reason)
Wright not showing enough interest at this point, need a massive momentum shift
Think Webb likes us but would be floored if he doesn’t end up at UGA or Bama

Are you just looking for something to worry about? You need to look a lot harder if this was the best you could do.
