Clemson to introduce digital ticketing services

The Clemson Athletic Ticket Office will introduce new changes to the Clemson Athletics experience through the use of digital ticketing for all home football and basketball games. Full Story »

They should get Digital Athletic Driector and Head Coach.

Jul 5, 2011, 3:21 PM

Say it's 3rd quarter and Boyd throws a pick six. Use your I-Phone to instantly fire Terry Don and Dabo. Promote Jeff Scott to head coach and make Danny Pearman offensive coordinator.

The possibilities are endless ! ;)

Jul 5, 2011, 3:30 PM

This sounds like it is going to be a pain to get back in the stadium.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Welcome to the 21st century ticketing department!***

Think about the TCU game a couple of years ago...

Jul 5, 2011, 3:49 PM

If I would have showed up at the gate with a "print at home" ticket, there is now way on earth that it would have been scannable. I was wet from head to toe that day...but I stayed the entire game, as always.

Invest in a laminator ;)***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Quit visiting Gamecock websites.

lol for the last time, it's not bc u visited a gamecock site

Jul 5, 2011, 6:22 PM

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Seriously, though, get Firefox with AdBlock add-in.

This message will get deleted because of the content, but it's great not seeing ads.

this means that scalping at the game is done.

Jul 5, 2011, 3:56 PM

You will never be able to trust a ticket being sold by a scalper. (I have season tickets, but this will definitely effect those that do not.)

63-17

Not true

Jul 5, 2011, 4:30 PM

Clemson is one of the last places that doesnt scan a ticket. Scalping is still around at ALL concerts, sporting events, and just about any other ticketed event. It might slow some down, but it isnt going anywhere.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I've never heard or seen the USS Clemson...Nice.***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Sounds like the University wants to stop ticket scalping***

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Actually it sounds like they are trying to get in on it

Jul 5, 2011, 6:12 PM

with the Clemson Stubhub section

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

LOL...yeah...it does.***

this is the first step. Next, all season ticket holders get

Jul 5, 2011, 4:02 PM

a sub-dermal tracking chip implanted. You laugh now, but we'll see.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I assumed Clemson was already doing this

Jul 5, 2011, 4:29 PM

ticket scanning is pretty common now.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

coot, i assumed SCAR was winning championships, but they

Jul 5, 2011, 6:23 PM

still haven't ever won 1 in my lifetime & you missed your best chance last year

:-/

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

well, we won the game

Jul 6, 2011, 9:36 PM

between Clemson and South Carolina. We had to hang our hat on beating a team with a losing record.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Welcome to our world!!!

Jul 6, 2011, 10:57 PM

That's how it has been for CU most years --- having to play an inferior Coot team hurts the RPI.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

i guess we will still get stiffed

Jul 5, 2011, 5:36 PM

with the $10 handling fee for every transaction

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Clemson to introduce digital ticketing services

Jul 5, 2011, 7:05 PM

I guess games will still start at noon.

Will there be a discount......

Jul 6, 2011, 10:57 AM

since CU will not have to bear the cost of printing the ticket anymore? Why not just send the bar code to your cell phone? Then you don't have to worry about getting it wet, crumpled, etc. and the scanner not being able to read it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

phooey! now i can't sneak into games***

Jul 6, 2011, 12:14 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Dang, I thought that meant they had a new way to write

Jul 6, 2011, 10:38 PM

traffic tickets.
