Graham Harrel and JPW are way better qb's

I would expect one of those 2 as the finalist.

No offense, but uhm... what???

Oct 20, 2008, 3:22 PM

How? Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing Harper. I just don't see how his stats from THIS year warrant him being on that list. I couldn't vote for him.

Congratulations to Cullen Harper!

Oct 20, 2008, 5:32 PM

I hope that he can take the remaining 5 games (and hopefully a bowl game) and show everyone why he deserves to be listed among the 10 semifinalists for this award.

The guy has played hurt most of the year in some of the worst conditions you could have as a starting QB - holes in the OL, team not living up to expectations, fans losing faith in the coaches, admin, etc., team losing faith in the coaches and possibly even each other, fans screaming for his successor to take the field - tough position to be in. With the recent changes and renewed spirit in our program, I hope he can turn his senior year around and recapture what made him good last season.

I wish him the best of luck!

Go Tigers!

This should be the spirit of all things Clemson...

Oct 21, 2008, 1:28 PM [ in reply to Congratulations to Cullen Harper! ]

At what point did we start pulling for Clemson people, be them players, fans, or coaches to fail? Is our approach to football that warped? Well said, I hope in all things that Cullen Harper is successful, here now and in the future. I hope for the same in regards to our present and past coaches and players...

Agreed. Those with negative things to say about Cullen

couldn't last 5 minutes in the situation he's in. People talk about him being efficient because of the scheme. If I'm not mistaken there were several down the field pass right on the money this weekend. And he's playing hurt. Sadly, I doubt he'll win it.
