Falsehood flies, and truth comes limping after it, so that when men come to be undeceived, it is too late; the jest is over, and the tale hath had its effect: like a man, who hath thought of a good repartee when the discourse is changed, or the company parted; or like a physician, who hath found out an infallible medicine, after the patient is dead.

they are of no importance whatsoever***

They aren't unless you refuse to release them. Then you

create a story that won't go away instead of being a story for a day or two no matter what is in them.

he should just say that they were deleted and then

How else are we supposed to know

Aug 12, 2016, 12:31 PM

that these wealthy career politicians are just like us and represent our interests?

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpgbadge-ringofhonor-19b.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

that's why they campaign and hold rally's

Aug 12, 2016, 12:32 PM

they tell us that they are just like us

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Hillary was poor when she left the Whitehouse

Aug 12, 2016, 12:32 PM [ in reply to How else are we supposed to know ]

badge-donor-05yr.jpgbadge-ringofhonor-conservativealex.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

poverty for sure

Aug 12, 2016, 12:35 PM

Hillary and Bill Clinton pulled in $10.6 million in 2015, much less than the nearly $28 million they made the year before.

I think it's reasonable to expect to see who...

a candidate supports with charitable and political donations. Tax returns don't show most political deductions.

For instance, I found it interesting to how little President Obama gave to charity until he looked at running for Senate/POTUS.

Same for Biden's very low rate of charitable giving (something like 0.2% over the years if memory serves).

I think it's good to be able to confirm many candidates are hypocritical greedy bastages...like we suspected they were.

I think most want Trump's since he has no record at

all when it comes to politics. He claims as a qualification his business acumen, yet won't show his tax returns.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

His personal tax returns will show his income...

Aug 12, 2016, 4:01 PM

not sure how anyone will deduce his business acumen directly from that though.

it.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He talks about his year-to-year income or his net worth?...

Aug 12, 2016, 4:05 PM

net worth isn't going to be shown on a tax return.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

More for effective tax rate and charitable contributions.

Aug 12, 2016, 4:30 PM

This is a guy who suggested Obamas birth certificate might show he's a Muslim. Trumps tax return might show he's a secret Russian.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

can't they just tell us that?***

As President Nixon said when asked to disclose his taxes...

Aug 12, 2016, 4:14 PM

“I welcome this kind of examination, because people have got to know whether or not their president is a crook. Well, I am not a crook.”

And no president since Nixon has refused.
