...and of course, an "originalist" is going to overturn an election and allow guys in gerrymandered offices to decide who gets to be president, regardless of what the election results themselves said. Eff the actual voters.
Because that's how Democracy actually works. The Supreme Court decides whatever it wants and the rest of us will just peacefully abide by whatever nine un-elected people in robes decide.
Uh...no.
The whole point of the law is that there is a consistency of regulation that we all are bound by. An "originalist" believes this far more fervently than an activist. These Federalist judges that now dominate the Supreme Court might be conservatives but they've spent their entire careers as jurists of the law...and in fact got where they got because they were among the very best in their professions.
Do you really think they're just going to start making it up as they go along because that's what Trump wants them to do?

The significance of this situation is the lower court ruled or in opinion had a belief that the plaintiff had a legitimate claim which recognizes the evidence which democratic socialist are denying ever existed. The third circuit by deciding that the evidence wasn't adequate to find for the plaintiff is a testimony that there is evidence. However unsubstantial, it the lower court recognized it as evidence.
