State of SC DE products all time question

May 24, 2019, 7:23 AM

How does SC high schools particularly in the midland section produce so many DEs. Burch, Thomas, Bowers, Clowney, even Sapp and then the Boulware kid that went to FSU. These are just the ones I can think of. Is their some camp or special coach connection? It just seems that most national talent from that state is DE. Any specific reason? I never followed high school sports in Sc. Can you add other DE from previous years as well? Did Vance Hammond plsybin NFL, I think he was from SC too.

I think Sam Montgomery was a pretty highly rated and recruited DE from SC as well. Maybe not as high as some of the others on your list though.

Nothing racist about it, but the demographics and population of the middle of the state mean that more talented football players will come from this area.
