Chad Morris to Auburn as OC.

I always liked The Chad

can you imagine if he came back as co-oc with Elliott? Imagine this offense running at Chad Morris' tempo...it would literally be unstoppable.

have you noticed

that there have been fewer wide receiver screens to the sideline?

almost always lose yardage and gets our receivers murdered.

Hiring Chad as OC would be a major disrespect to Tony.

Why in the world would we put ourselves in the same position which caused Brent to leave OU for Clemson?

This Chad Morris fever is all wrong. He tried to take another job before he came here and he updated his resume daily and spent half his check on stamps to send it to anyone and everyone looking for a head coach.

As far as his gimmick offense, we no longer need HUNH operating that quickly. We're 28-0 without it. If it ain't broke you don't fix it.

I appreciate Chad's part in getting us to where we are

Dec 10, 2019, 12:10 PM [ in reply to I always liked The Chad ]

but one of his glaring weaknesses is his inability to make in-game adjustments and stubbornly sticking to his system. Tempo is a great weapon, but there are times when staying in that mode all game long stresses your defense and can make for some quick 3 & outs if the offense doesn't jump right out of the gate. I think we're a little better off now than when Chad was running the offense. He's very good, but opposing defenses can too easily trend his tendencies and win match ups. It would be really fun to watch a Venables-Morris chess match in a game though.

Why, with a defense such as we now

Dec 10, 2019, 12:28 PM [ in reply to I always liked The Chad ]

field, would you ever want to run that degree of tempo? All the teams that do it end up putting their D at a major disadvantage.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-aero.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

agree, but

Dec 10, 2019, 12:44 PM

I'd like to see us run it a few plays when we catch opponent's D in matchups we like. Seems like we did this a couple times a game quite successfully, but got away from it.
