Never, never seen Hunter miss & teammates drop so many balls and wonder if..

Nov 18, 2018, 9:13 AM

their concentration or focus was a bit off, or weather a bit cold, or oculus lights affected them.

What knows you?

Let’s hope we got it out of our system for the bloodbath this coming Saturday!!!!

Agree. I think it was a lack of focus. Maybe Trevor was throwing the shorter passes too hard. Who knows, I'm just glad they got it fixed!

hard to say Bill, the whole team was in a funk for the first

Nov 18, 2018, 9:17 AM

Quarter. the defense recovered quicker than the offense

The first half offense has me worried. they seemed to have a focus problem more than anything. maybe duke was doing some things we weren't prepared for. The OL couldn't block them correctly. TL was off on a lot of passes and when he was on there were A LOT of drops.

Let's hope we get things back into championship phase form this week.

Hunter's misses were very difficult catches that he sometimes has made. Both balls had too much velocity. Amari, Galloway and Kendrick just plain dropped them!

2024 white level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm not complaining about renfrow

Nov 18, 2018, 9:27 AM

The catch he got hurt on had some serious gas on it and he was full extension. He has caught 99% of balls like this in the past.

The ones that hurt the most were DK10 dropping an easy TD. Galloway dropping his jump ball, ETN dropping one that hit him in the numbers, etc.

Lol. Bless y’all. We are spoiled....

you can call me spoiled when we get an OL that's similar to

Nov 18, 2018, 9:24 AM

DL. I'm tired of the OL being the weak link of the team. We need to devote more scholarship numbers to OL.

Tired of being Undefeated & a perennial top 5 program?

Nov 18, 2018, 9:29 AM

Come on man...We have never had it this good. Even under Danny Ford

I get that. we are better at every position other than OL back then. It's frustrating to me why we cant get it right at this all important unit on the offense. I trust Dabo will eventually get it fixed.

Lack of focus, concentration, whatever we may call

Nov 18, 2018, 9:20 AM

it.

I've seen the same all my life in various venues and have ventured that it's attributable to discipline...A lack of which is on both the Indians and their Chiefs.

Dabo on the sidelines last night, I think, sensed the same, and, hence, his rants.

Now, this week the Monkey is on our staff's backs, for they must reinstill discipline first in themselves, then our team.

DK and AR most memorable drops were a case of being wide open and sensing

Nov 18, 2018, 9:34 AM

6 points. They turned their heads to run before they focused on catching the ball. Both very young players and a youngish mistake. DK recovered later with a huge catch. I think they are teachable. TL missed some early throws. No way HR drops that ball if he’s not injured. He literally laid out to catch that. The announcer said I’m not sure if that’s more frustration for dropping the ball or injury. He obviously doesn’t know Renfrow. Anybody who follows Clemson knew it was bad. Reminded me of when he broke his hand. The interesting thing is that Tee Higgins and Amari Rodgers are True Sophomores and Justyn Ross and DK are true Freshmen. And Thompson and Overton are passed on the depth chart, then there’s Cornell Powell. Our receivers are very young.

You think that was a drop?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

my point is he didn’t catch it. And you can’t fault him for not catching it

Nov 18, 2018, 9:43 AM

Because he gave more than any other receiver would have given. He focused more on the catch than protecting himself. My point was he didn’t drop any that he should’ve caught

Nov 18, 2018, 9:48 AM

Gotcha. I’ve just seen some people on here call that a drop, which it clearly wasn’t. We are spoiled by his fantastic catches on a regular basis, but that was a dang near an impossible play that only a player as good as renfrow can almost make.

Young receivers that will learn from this game. We continue to improve down the home stretch.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The ball Galloway dropped...

Nov 18, 2018, 11:23 AM

He misjudges the pass. Jumps early and is on his way down when the ball gets to his hands. Kendricks dropped a sure TD. Amaris first drop (the slant where the defender knocked it away) he would literally still be running.

It’s a long season and every team has games like this. Alabama had one yesterday as well. It’s nice to win 35-6 in an off night... I am confident we will be locked in for the rest of them as they are all championship games.
