He says "hopefully I believe that night you can return to saying I'm proud of the Gamecock football team" really??? It's gonna take that long before they can be proud of their team? He's pretty much admitting they're gonna suck all next year. Plus, "hopefully I believe " sounds like he's kinda doubting they're not gonna suck that day too! Go home Steve, you're drunk...

What he REALLY meant was that he's cautiously optimistic that he thinks they may kinda sorta maybe feel better the evening of 11/21, after they possibly finally get revenge on the Citadel. Then he hopes to celebrate by taking the kids to Tanner's Big Orange on Pleasantburg.
