I’m not too handy

While I did disassemble and reassemble a leaf blower yesterday to reattach the fuel line, I am stumped on my shop vac.

I bought it brand new at Lowe’s yesterday.
Opened box and attached hose and sucked all the ash outta the BGE.
Luckily it was outside on the porch and not the fireplace that was next on the list.
The blower side was shooting ash out of the back
I can’t for the life of me find a cap or anything that covers that

The box was missing the instruction manual and one of the attachments and hopefully that cap.

Am I an idiot (yes) that doesn’t know how to stop the blower function or am I missing more than a couple of parts?

It's similar to a lint trap, probably in the shape of a cylinder

Happened to me with my airfryer oven. It was missing a part that it needed to function correctly. Every time I called them they said the part was on backorder. I told them to get me a part from another one. They would not. I sent it back. Got my money back and ordered from Amazon.

On the blower part.

It works for everything else without calling customer service. Just glad I experienced that before doing stupid inside the house with it.
