A drunk will run a STOP sign, but a stoner will wait for it to turn green.

So you got a little Irish in you?

Feb 7, 2020, 9:02 PM

You want some?

Sorry, I’ve always enjoyed that pickup line as a really bad joke. For me, it’s the modern day “that’s what she said”. So whether it applies or not, I feel like I have to use it.

Not gay!

that's an oldie but goodie.....

Phil Lynott used to use that one to the concert crowds way back when.

-It could have been worse

You could have found out that you had French genes in your veins. Or, that your daughter and her husband are probably living in an incestuous relationship. But then, aren't we all. I haven't been able to find Adam in my tree, but I have found an Eve.

I do have French, but the German speaking type.

My wife is my 12th cousin or something.

Back before ancestry was all online they had software. Everything sat on your PC. You could actually download other software that could find relationships between any people in your tree. Those tools aren't on their website anymore. I search there and still save it in my PC.

My great great grandfather

Feb 8, 2020, 9:03 AM

was a general for Confederacy. He signed the letter of secession for South Carolina. His son is in The Citadel Ring of Honor. He was one of the cadets that fired on the frigate that started the Civil War. My Great Uncle was a professor of math at Clemson College.

Rednecks

Impressive. Mine was a tad less celebratory.

Feb 8, 2020, 10:10 PM [ in reply to My great great grandfather ]

He stayed in the house drunk and whittled. He only came out to shoot the dogs when they barked. It was the rotten leg that eventually got him. You probably think I'm joking.

Funny. My ancestor (and who I’m named after) brought liquor to general Francis Marion. His nickname was “Marion’s Commissary”
