THE PROCESS HAS BEGUN!!!!!

Good Gosh-a-mighty!!! Can you feel it???? The time is upon us. In a few days, you'll eat like a king, drink like a fish, and win like a Tiger!
The sun will rise on Lake Hartwell, the smell of charcoal will fill the air, the band will march down the hill, the cold beer smell will surround the tailgates, the hot summer air will envelope you....and you'll be home. You'll be yourself. You'll say hi to thousands of new friends with a feel that Christmas has come.
As for my house....we've been busy. I live near Furman. I know those back roads. I stalk that campus for practice. This was easy. I found a floppy haired boy with a purple visor, seer sucker shorts, and a Southern Tide polo. He was getting out of his mom's hand-me-down Land Rover with the old Young Life sticker on the back.
He said "Sup bruh" while white boy rap played through his earbuds. His first name was someone's last name and he whimpered when I pushed him into the van.
FU.....FU indeed.
He's now with me....in the garage. He keeps talking about his frat and his daddy's money. None of that will help.
Soon, Junior will use a small torch to burn that floppy flow from his scalp, revealing dark scorched patches of skin. The screams will make my heart all a flutter!
By mid afternoon on Saturday, he will be nothing but croakies, sperry's, and gelatinous goo.
Furman has no victory. They are the first of many to fall this year.
The music will blare from tailgates. You'll even hear some old "Drivin' N Cryin'" and swear, if only for a moment, you are a college kid again.

Prepare yourself. My neighbor has asked that I stop slapping his wife's butt on gameday. I'll keep slapping her's...maybe I'll slap his.
