wireless ear bud Christmas gift recommendations?

Nov 17, 2020, 8:25 AM

for Mrs No, to be used w/ Galaxy S9 phone when running, walking, etc.

If not serious, it better bring the funny.

I love my Aftershokz

great for exercise, especially outdoors where you need to hear other sounds - and they are not going anywhere - they stay put. Me and wife have the Air version.

Jo Buds

Tickle_It and I have them.

They have quite the cult following as a budget alternative to the name brand ones.

They even have their subreddit. reddit . com/r/jobuds/

I have some Sony ones that are great. I prefer a back strap

Nov 17, 2020, 9:04 AM

connecting the ear buds. I also have used cheap Chinese Amazon ones. They lasted about 6 months which is great for like $20. Sound was fine, but the biggest complaint was the battery would tell you it was low THEN one song later, dead.

These are the Sony ones, they are a little big, but I like them alot.

why do you prefer a back strap? how bout ones with rigid

Nov 17, 2020, 9:58 AM

back connector? Seems like just the lil buds unconnected would be better.

I'm afraid to lose the unconnected ones (and they are

pricier). I like the loose back strap because the flopping on my neck with a rigid one gets really annoying after a while (TWSS).

Also, I forgot to mention, the cheap chinese ones would start skipping after like 45 minutes of use, but I think that got fixed with a newer phone. So that MAY have been the phone's fault.

My wife uses the same Sony ones and she likes them as well. She can put one bud in her ear and wrap the other around her sports bra strap to listen to the kids bitch and complain when we are running together as well. I guess with the truly wireless buds, you could just put one in your pocket.

Oh, and I had one pair with the controls on the strap and

that sucked BALLS. They just got heavy and flopped around.

I use these for running / working out

Nov 17, 2020, 10:10 AM

and for working while in the airport or traveling not in my truck...

can't recommend them enough. I prefer to have the wire connecting them so when you take them out you can rest them around your neck, plus makes it easier to find / not lose a stray bud while on the road.
