I prefer older Brownings that were Belgian made.

RIght.

May 21, 2020, 11:32 AM

Taking that out of the equation, how about one of the other 3 listed?

That's what I scare birds with the once or twicet a year

I get to go duck hunting. Pops' '70s Belgian Browning 12. He just had it rebuilt last year. Firing pin was broken, so it was a mystery why it was even firing half the time and ejecting half the time.

Goose gun.

I'm absolutely thrilled with my Winchester SXP pump. Very fast action. Can't go wrong with any of them, but I really do like the Benelli semi autos.

I'm a Mossberg guy in general.

May 21, 2020, 11:52 AM

Always the first thing I look at anytime I start looking at shotguns. Picked up the Winchester because I shot one at sporting clays gathering and fell in love with it.

ringofhonor-rhtig.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Actually, rifles as well.

May 21, 2020, 12:06 PM

I have a Mossberg bolt Patriot .30-06, a Mossberg lever .30-30, and a Mossberg MVP bolt .223. Indestructible, American-made, and always at a more than reasonable price point.

ringofhonor-rhtig.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If it doesn't come in .45-70 it ain't a man's gun.

May 21, 2020, 2:08 PM

I'll make an exception for .375H&H.

That you keep taking her rifle hunting, I mean?

ringofhonor-rhtig.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Also looked at the A400.

May 21, 2020, 1:30 PM [ in reply to I don’t remember which A400 my cousin has ]

Gotta keep looking I wasn't sure about that flat gold/green color.

You should be ashamed of yourself you hoarder.

Again.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If that's the case...

May 21, 2020, 2:30 PM

why are you looking for a long barrel instead of something with higher capacity that is more maneuverable inside when you're looting? Assault shotguns are made for assaulting.

HK sources shotguns from Franchi, so you're better off to buy direct and save the HK markup. I will stand with you on their battle rifles though, exceptional weapons that stand up to a wide range of conditions without failure.

Benelli Super Black Eagle - I have dropped mine in the swamp dozens of times. So easy to clean in the field and as sure of a shooting gun that you can buy.

Re: Lunge LDR's...Beretta, Benelli or Browning?

I only shoot high brass though in that gun.

My buds have SBE's as well and some shoot low brass Kent shells which are ok, but expect a jam every once in a while. But I think that is typical of any shotgun in reality.

ALSO, before I forget, for a long time I hunted with a Benelli 3.5 Nova. I sold it and that was the worst mistake EVER. Luckily they are cheap and I can snag another one, but that is one #### good shooting pump action gun.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I looked at one of these.

May 21, 2020, 1:28 PM [ in reply to Re: Lunge LDR's...Beretta, Benelli or Browning? ]

I really like the looks of real wood stock. Also didn't care for the sites.

I dunno..not sold yet.
