Big 10 east... what is going on?

So for those of you keeping score at home, now 6 out 7 universities in the big 10 east in the last 15 years have been accused of abuse.

Indiana -bobby knight chokes player
Michigan state - gymnastic coach rapes athletes, assistant bball coach rapes and football players accused of rape
Ohio state - fb coach beats wife
Penn state - fb coach rapes boys
Rutgers - bb coaches abused players
Maryland - fb coaches verbally abused players, player dies during practice

This is crazy. How does big 10 commissioner Jim Delaney continue to hang on to his job?? I know every university in the country experiences problems, but this seems like a awful lot of concentration in one area. Any company that experienced 6 scandals in 15 years with their management would have fired their CEO long ago. Something needs to change up there.

Makes me proud to cheer for a coach and program that does the right thing every day...

Look at how many SEC football teams have been on probation for cheating in the past 15 years or so.
They are worse.

Cheating is one thing. These cases of abuse are on a whole different level of bad.

As an ACC member Clemson can’t get too haughty since FSU had Jameis Winston and then that whole cesspool in Chapel Hill. It’s enough to tend your own garden without pointing out weeds in somebody else’s. We have two recently former players sitting in the lockup right now too that strayed from the good path.

in the ACC cases you site, it's players going astray. In the B1G cases, its the people in charge (coaches and administrators). Every school and conference is going to have player issues - these are young folks, many of them immature. But what's happening in the Big 10 is much more concerning at an institutional level I think.
