If bball goes 17-13 and no even NIT is that acceptable

Bc I just checked the schedule and if we are lucky we will get 17 wins this year. Due to lack of a big man inside and lack of offensive rebounding. We do have decent free throw ability, but the offense is so stagnant and inconsistent I don't see us beating any of the ranked teams on our schedule. FSU , Louisville, Duke ,UNC, Virginia. Already can't beat VTech. How do you guys think we finish?

How many injuries, how do our facilities compare, are our fans showing up, and other excuses

With all that, I don't see it adding up to 17 wins.

Hahaha yeah I didn't notice auto correct got me before I clicked post. I really do think what this team is missing is a go to threat down low in the box. Nobody respects Simms down low game. In previous years we had Thomas and White who transferred gave good minutes. They would draw in the defenses a little more and allow for that open shot outside. Now I'm seeing teams press the 3 line daring us to go inside. Kind of like in football. If you are not balanced it's gonna be a tough year

I’ve quit beating this horse. Thank god for football, b/c Brownlee and Monty haven’t given much to work with in the School excitement department.

I like Brad, I love CU Athletics. I'm going to give no comment on this deal. But I'm really looking forward to watching our Tigers win another conf championship tomorrow.

I think this will be a rough year for Clemson bball. Will be fortunate to end up .500.

I am sure Judge Keller would approve and say CBB would deserve a raise and contract extension if we win 17 games this season...........because being average is very acceptable to him/her ......Go Tigers!!!!!

or worse. We've had one good year in Brad's tenure, and year 10 looks like it could be I. The worse category. You accept this as okay. Its ridiculous. Your physical attraction to our basketball head coach needs to be separated from reality. I. Reality, the man has had MORE THAN ENOUGH time to be better than what we are. Making the tournament twice in 10 years, once with someone else's players, is NOT acceptable. Period. And by the way, thisnisnt a lack of support. Its bringing forth FACTS.
Clear enough?

If you have listened to DRad during fb pregame radio
Dec 6, 2019, 3:22 PM

Broadcast interviewed by Don Munson every time Don asked questions about the upcoming basketball season, DRad pretty much always said Brad has a young team. To me that screams Brad is getting a pass this year, unless maybe it goes really bad.
What I would like to see is TigerNet writers and other media that follows Clemson Sports to please ask DRad after the season when he at what point does he want to see the Program show more consistency in winning which specifically means get to the NCAAT on a more consistent basis?
To me with the two recruits coming on board next season, Brad will have a roster over half full of 4 star or top 100 players by at least by one recruiting service. There is no excuse to be getting to the tournament twice in a four year period with a talented roster since the program now has the facilities and spending to compete with other programs in the ACC.
It is our job as Clemson fans demand that these questions be asked and answered about the future of the program.

Acceptable based on what?

We've won 20 games each of the last two years. The first of those was one of our best seasons ever in program history, a Sweet 16 team. Last year was disappointing in that we felt we should've made the NCAA Tournament, but came up short due to a variety of reasons (not closing out more games like we should've, some key injuries especially to Shelton Mitchell most of the year, and some general bad luck with the way the ball bounced at times). Averaging over 20 wins and also averaging above .500 in the ACC over the last two years is a significant accomplishment relative to our basketball history.
Viewed in that context, winning 17 games in what should be considered a rebuilding year isn't so bad. But then again, not even making the NIT should be disappointing regardless. As with any situation, details matter:
-Were we competitive in our losses? -Did we win the games we were supposed to? -Did we win some games we weren't supposed to? -Did we show improvement over the course of the season? -How did our young players develop?
The answer to those questions can make a big difference in terms of a year where we rebuilt and walk away encouraged, versus a year where we underachieved and are discouraged.

He hasn’t played in a real game since 2018, and he’s coming off of a significant injury. He has some nice skills and good potential, but let’s not expect him to be a 20/10 guy.
Nonetheless, I’m excited to have him back. He will help us.

Yes, this year. Next year is probably different unless we have several key injuries. Back to back 20 win seasons and improved recruiting has relieved some pressure from Brownell if there even was any.

We spend like wake forest in football and basketball and ask why were not getting Duke results? 1 renovation... when we have 72,000 at a FB game on Saturday and 2,900 at BB on Sunday... that answers your question. It’s amazing duke, NC, and Kentucky fans make time to go to crap team games...
It’d be a lot harder for the small schools to come win in a stadium with 8,500 fans... not even trying to be a jerk, but the only people that have a right to complain are people who attend at least 5 games...
