Swinney: Tigers Getting Closer and Healthier

Clemson interim head coach Dabo Swinney met with the press for the first time since last Saturday's loss at home to Georgia Tech, but did mention that he thought the team held up rather well considering the happenings in and around Tiger Town the prior five days. Full Story »

While I detest losing, Dabo is right!!! Our guys seemed to play with more heart Sattidy.

If we can get our O-Line healthy, then maybe our D can get some rest and play four quarters with their hair on fire.

I agree. There was a certain intensity last Saturday that I haven't seen in awhile. Even though it hurts to lose, I feel this team is finally, for the first time this season, playing with a purpose.

..."diamond in the rough"...

That was the phrase used in the parking lots outside the stadium in 1979 to describe Danny Ford.

In 1980, the parking lot talk was about replacing him.

Then I say replace him with the real Danny Ford

Sorry for the double post..To add a serious note to the Danny Ford reference, if we keep Dabo why not bring Ford in as a coordinator of sorts. Let him bring power football back to Clemson.

Now that at least some of the dust has settled...

I am really excited to see what happens at BC.

2 weeks to prepare, our players getting healthy, returning to the field, playing inspired and with intensity , a head coach with a raging fire in his belly, our players and coaches finally united - could be a long day for BC!

Go Tigers!

Who is the bone-headed reporter?

Oct 21, 2008, 10:23 PM

I'm not a big fan of the "acceptable loss", but you'd have to be an idiot to not have seen a much improved team on Saturday. Granted we had some stupid mistakes, but none of Spence's 4 plays would have worked against Ga. Tech. Not only did we make half-time adjustments, we had in-game adjustments!

I just want to know who this "beat" reporter is? Since he obviously can't understand that Dabo was satisfied with the improvement and not the score.

I'm "All in"!
