deshaun's speed

I thought that I saw more quickness and speed from Deshaun yesterday than anytime in the last two years. It may be just that the Cuse defense wasn't that fast, but I don't remember a sudden acceleration or change of gears like I saw yesterday. It was great to see...

I was wondering if there had been some injury we weren't aware of because he looked much better running the ball yesterday. But that is the cuse weakness so maybe it was just the poor defense.

He gained 15 lbs of muscle this off season. He is way more explosive but he needs to learn to slide and the offensive coordinator needs to stop calling so many running plays for him.

He was scrambling for the first down on a pass play, and couldn't slide because he was right around the first down marker and needed to make sure he got it.

Our OC's have called significantly less designed runs for #4 this year, and when he has a sure gain and knows he's gonna get hit, he slides.

I have no idea where some of you are getting this stuff.

Seems to me, much like last year, they seem to save his running plays for later in the season and for big games. Probably both for DWs health and to keep it off film.
