That was a class act to change the theme of the pep rally in light of the recent events in Ocean Isle...Way to go to the entire student body on that decison....and GO TIGERS!!

remember is that the Big Thursday pep rally at Clemson has traditionally been held only during years in which the Clemson-Carolina game is held in Clemson.
This year, the organization that sponsors Big Thursday during those years decided to try and make it an annual thing.
With, however, the news of the fire, Big Thursday was changed to Fowl Fest. I think it's a great change and will lead to a good first "off-year" pep rally for the Clemson-Carolina game!

I understand that their was a reagedy that occurred at the beach house but why do we need to change what we call/label other things? I see more and more of this.

In truth, there has never been a Big Thursday at Clemson when the Game is being played in Columbia. This year was the first year that the Student Alumni Association wanted to try and hold a Big Thursday during such an off-year.
Because of that, we aren't really "changing" anything by having Fowl Fest.
Rest assured, Big Thursday will be back next year!

with this move (even though there's nothing officially changing). I mean after the "fight game" we didn't accept a bowl game costing the school money and the team extra practice. We then shake hands the next year before the game. I think it would be more appropriate to shake hands or do something this year than the other year following a fight. People that are so against this should wake up and think about the people directly effected by the tragedy and put things in perscpective. One year isn't going to kill the Clemson pride and tradition.
