I thought the guy who played Osceola had to be of Seminole descent though? Maybe I'm wrong but I thought that was the case.

Clearly I was misinformed. Someone once told me that it had to be a student with Seminole blood and that there were even scholarships to make sure there were always FSU students who were of Seminole descent.
That person was obviously talking out of their rear end.

detractors sometimes say, "too much" because of the money involved. the relationship has always been mostly symbiotic from my years in florida and beyond. the oklahoma tribe had a particularly vocal detractor, but the tribes there voted in support of fsu as well. i'm a huge fan of the seminole people's history in staying the federal advances into florida. our federal union had to lie to catch osceola, which is why he's buried in south carolina.

What if he has a FSU pick? I doubt GameDay will avoid going there because he can't wear the costume.
Obviously not a FSU fan, but why ban this? What are they not telling us!?
