Seriously though, never even hear of this dude. But he's a "National college football reporter" which of course, makes him sound more important than just a "College Football Reporter". It's kinds like the guy at my work who is a "Corporate Engineer" rather than just and "Engineer". They are legends in their own minds.
I bet he's related to that farmer dude on Green Acres, Mr. Haney!

He's a Tennessee grad who once lived in Charleston writing a good bit for/about the Gamecocks. He's also written a book about the Clemson-USC rivalry. Frankly, he's a good reporter, although he definitely has an SEC bias and you can sense his lack of respect for Clemson and the ACC in some of his articles.
I may be missing something but this is what I have gathered. And he's got a point in his tweet; no reason for anyone to get upset; he gets paid to give his his opinion. Even if he is slightly biased, it's he who has to answer to his "expert analysis".

Why doesn't he mention that Suck U's DE that wears number 7 has been total garbage this year? Can't wait for a linemen to chop his ### in the dirt. Maybe then he will actually need some surgery. Sorry I don't wish injury on anyone,but this ### hat deserves everything he is going to get.

At the time it was Larry Williams covering Clemson and Haney covering SC for the Post and Courier, and Larry was certainly the more honest and critical of the two.
