got 3 friends from HHI on the way to stay with us here in TigerTown.
they're driving back roads and said the traffic is not bad.

for a weeekend if needed. But I don't know of any place that you can volunteer a spare room for an evacuee.
Seems like Airbnb would have something like that as a courtesy.

I have a couple from Hilton Head here with me in Salem.
They came up Wednesday night. Both of them survived Hugo,
so they had no stomach for that kind of butt-hurt again.

The Boss and I to be "Charleston Refugees"....it was difficult to refuse the offer.
BTW----our experience, what we saw while getting the heck out of Dodge, etc, was such that large kudoes go out to SCDOT, EMERGENCY PLANNING, ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS, THE GOVERNORS OFFICE, for a terrific effort in planning and executing such a gargantuan feat in such a small period of time.
