Did Morris promise Deshawn 3 or 4 years at Clemson

if he comes to Clemson?
My understanding that he did not but someone on another thread posted this to be true. On the contrary, I've heard DeShawn once mention that he is committing to the program and the university and not to Morris. Not sure, but that is what I know.
Furthermore, I'll be shocked if such a promise was offered by Morris to DeShawn since Morris could have a chance at a 4 Million dollar deal as HC.

other recruiters are telling this young man that there really is no promise Morris will be in Clemson when he gets here. If his high school coaches are worth anything, they are letting him know how the system works.

I doubt that is so. I know Watson said he was committed whether Coach Morris stays or not. I don't believe a coach would promise anyone they were going to stay for a commitment. But, considering the new definition of the word "committed" in which we have all seen lately, maybe so.

I think the way I heard it was he promised to stay while he was at Clemson if Watson signed. Now who knows what that exactly means and if there were qualifiers on it.

I believe the promise was made to his daughter, but I'm sure he'll do what he thinks is best for the future of him and his family. I'm just thankful he came our way, and I will be happy for him, no matter what. He has done a lot for us, IMO.
