a guy from Brooklyn NY will love putting roots down in SC

guess its worth a try but i'd imagine if he was successful here he'd jump at the first above average offer he gets.

That's the dilemma at Clemson. Get a good coach he's gone as soon as he can find a more suitable gig but a middle of the road coach will stay but you gotta put up with inconsistency.

This gentleman is likely awaiting a call from Syracuse; St. Johns; Seton Hall or Rutgers.
But I would challenge that OP leaving for DePaul was a jump to a better situation. And RB left Providence to land at Clemson. Clemson elevated his reputation--especially the sparring he had with Dean Smith & ACC Commissioner.

Who are the good coaches who jumped ship for a better gig?

Dont tell me Rick Barnes. He left because his wife gave him an ultimatum. Even if we did count him, thats one.

There is no reason the greatest coach available wouldnt want to come, build, and stay at Clemson.

Nah. We wouldn't want him to screw up our program and ruin a good thing. We have too much to lose.

Is he related to Roy DeMeo?

We might get a better shake from the ACC officials

A JUCO has little to no Academic requirements. Heck, Clemson would not even accept graduates from his school. What makes you think he could compete in the ACC and recruit players who could qualify?
