Tigers come into an early season game and do what they are supposed to do. Yesterday was a statement even if playing a sub-par Ball St. In the past the Tigers have struggled early and often with the likes of Wofford - App St. - Furman - Costal.

This team feels different. Even in the Auburn game it seemed like the only hold up to a blow out was our own mistakes - drops and penalties and yesterday for the first time in a long time met my expectations of what we should do on the field. I am so glad today that I am not explaining to my coot co-workers about how really good Wofford looked or how I expect App St. to be Nat Champs again after watching them against Clemson. No - Yesterday was just what I needed - a beat down of a team that was supposed to be a beat down.

It's not like we don't win our cupcake games but we usually play down to the opponent. We came out yesterday and were confident and deliberat in taking it to them. I think the next step for this program is to start seeing the same approach when we face the duke, Wake, Bc, and marylands of the world. We are way more talented and it is just up to us to play our game. Unfortunately we have a lot bigger test coming up before we get to those games.
