I known that sucks. I recently did a similar thing when flossing. Something else is going on that side of my face now. I don't know if it is all tooth related or something else. Good times my friend. Hope it works out for you!

Kinda pissed me off.... Got the cap replaced for now and hoping it all stays. Had that side xrayed last week because of pain along my jaw line ( hoping it isn't something worse ). Slight infection so I'm taking penicillin and hoping that's all it is.

then just go ahead and make plans for an implant. You'll be re-crowning this thing every 2-5 years until your dentist pays for his new SUV. THEN you'll need a root canal.
I have $11K over the years in ONE tooth. When they filled it the first time, I should have told them to pull it and put in an implant.
