Spurrier's senility

Jan 21, 2013, 10:02 PM

Don't know if this has been posted but SOS introduced Mike Davis at the Vandy basketball game as Stephen Davis. Davis looked stunned and none too happy.

Not sure why the CLA cameraman decided to linger on Davis

afterwards. Maybe he is a Clemson grad.

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Goes to show he isn't interested in his players

Jan 21, 2013, 10:08 PM

If it's senility....he needs to retire

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Of course the followup question is why was I at the game

Jan 21, 2013, 10:08 PM

Free tickets and Vandy won.

Re: Spurrier's senility

Jan 21, 2013, 10:10 PM

I'm sure spurlid is really troubled about what Mike Davis, or anybody else, thinks (not).

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Oh I know SOS couldn't care less

Jan 21, 2013, 10:12 PM

But that doesn't mean the guys who are bleeding for him don't care if he knows their names. I'll guarantee CDS knows every players' shoe size and they like that.

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Oh I know SOS couldn't care less

Jan 22, 2013, 8:29 AM

I agree 100%, but my point is that it's a one-way street there. They care about spurlid, but I doubt he cares much for them. You'd think that after a year, and a big steal from us (I say that because his big brother wore the Clemson jersey in a proud fashion and was a real stud), the Richard Head spurlid would know this young man's name, but no, not this time.

Well he better start...does nothing but give Dabo ammo

Jan 21, 2013, 10:26 PM [ in reply to Re: Spurrier's senility ]

when recruiting.

Dabo can say, truthfully, 'Hey, the head coach down in cootlumbia (yes, Dabo says this also) doesn't care about his players, he doesn't even know their names!!!'

***Dabo and recruit lol, then tap glasses and drink***

I'm sure Spurrier has plenty of ammo for Dabo.

Didn't help the Tigers this year did it? Or last? Or the year before? And . . .

Where do you guys come from? I need like a T-net swatter or

Jan 22, 2013, 8:27 PM

some T-net Raid or something.

Anyway, Spurrier's pretty classless...well documented, even by your own fanbase. That's enough reason not to play for the ########.

Now scat, unless yall have chicken sandwhiches for me.

Jan 21, 2013, 10:12 PM

but at least he doesn't spit when he calls the players by the wrong name. Holthz was the king of butchering names....how he has a job in sports "journalism" is beyond me. Heck, even most carolina fans can't stand to listen to him!

It's always been just about Spurrier. He is in it for himself

Jan 22, 2013, 8:51 AM

His tenure in Columbia was all about removing the tarnish from his failed NFL experience. He knew that he could come to a place that has never had any type of success and was considered the poster child for futility and restore his image with just a little success.

From day 1 in Columbia, it has been all about him and becoming the winningest coach in their history which doesn't say much. Now, they can build a statue and worship him while never acknowledging that he could care less about them. Typical egomaniac that has no connection to his players which is proven when the all leave there at first chance.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: It's always been just about Spurrier. He is in it for himself

Jan 22, 2013, 5:53 PM

And this is coming from a fan base that worships "All about me Dabo"? Anything for publicity for him.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Dabo actually graduates and cares about his players.

Jan 22, 2013, 8:41 PM

From Stev... Mike Davis's Twitter:

Jan 22, 2013, 8:32 PM

"Steven really coach spurrier?"

The very next tweet: "Coach spurrier called me Steven on purpose."

I'm sure you'll say he's just covering for Spurrier, whatever helps your argument, but there ya go.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Ohhh, must be some inside joke that every fan in the arena

Jan 22, 2013, 8:36 PM

got....makes sense....

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Because every fan knows every joke within sports programs...

Jan 22, 2013, 8:44 PM

You sound very intelligent with that assessment.

Coaches and their players never have fun.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Tell me, oh intelligent one, what was the 'joke' about?

Jan 22, 2013, 8:49 PM

...aaaand I think I just proved a point.

Never crack on someone's intelligence when you're firing blanks...

Now, I'd like a large with with with fries...snap to it...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You speak of intelligence, yet that's your second fast food

Jan 22, 2013, 8:56 PM

joke in the same thread?

There is some extreme butt hurt going on over here lately. Anything I post turns into a pissing match with the maturity level of a 5 year old (I realize I take part in the argument, and acknowledge I sink to your level in doing so).

When there is concrete evidence from the player himself saying Spurrier did it on purpose, I tend to listen to that player. Not formulate my own opinion about my rival's coach just because my team can't beat him.

Am I in on the joke if there was one? No. Was it just Spurrier and Davis? No clue. But to develop such a biased opinion on something so petty proves Spurrier must be under your skin.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: You speak of intelligence, yet that's your second fast food

Jan 22, 2013, 9:12 PM

Look. If MIKE Davis runs for 257 yards and 4 TD's against Clemson next year, SOS will remember his name. Stephen . . . um, Mike . . . knows that.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Your RBs can't run for 100 combined on us. Not sure where

Jan 22, 2013, 10:32 PM

257 is coming from.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

For someone who is 'just looking,' you do a lot of talking..

Jan 22, 2013, 9:40 PM [ in reply to You speak of intelligence, yet that's your second fast food ]

1) Didn't realize jokes were a direct reflection of someone's intelligence...good stuff. Is that how they admit players to USuC?

2) No one forces you to post on your rivals board...don't really know what you’re expecting. Did you come to 'lay the law down' on T-net and set us straight when we poke fun of USuC in jest? Pick another hobby...you're wasting your time here bud.

3) Everything a player says must be true right? I mean, no one makes up girlfriends and fake deaths...lol

4) Loosen up, the interwebz is not serrus bizness...now, about that chicken sandwich...I'm gonna need to speak with your manager (oh nozzz, third fast food joke...IQ dropping...)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well, it's just a name, nothing more

Jan 22, 2013, 10:32 PM

1. It isn't so much the joke, I was referring to the constant use of it. Not just from you, but from this entire website. You'd think after a while you'd broaden your horizon of jokes about "coots" but apparently not.

2. Once again, I just find it funny the level of immaturity I'm greeted with, or anyone that doesn't drink the orange kool-aid and isn't part of the cult or "all-in".

3. As I stated earlier, it was something extremely petty. Do you believe everything Dabo says? (It's rhetorical, I already know the answer)

4. Lol.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up
