You know what prevents snoring and sleep apnia?

May 14, 2020, 10:59 AM

Pickles. Daily.

Let us know how it turns out.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You shut your #### mouth.

May 14, 2020, 11:58 AM

That's not true.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm sorry, but it is true.

May 14, 2020, 1:10 PM

I have a doctorate in anaerobic fermentation and brining sciences, and have spent the last 20 years curing sleep disorders in sub-Saharan Africa, so trust me when I tell you we're not lying about this.

AT.ALL.

It's worse than I thought.

May 14, 2020, 1:14 PM

You're at the stage where pickle dehydration has caused the inability to read. It's a common side effect.

Fill CPAP water reservoir with moonshine

May 14, 2020, 12:22 PM

It's what my ma-in-law inadvertently did.

This was black-man, disbarred lawyer made moonshine in a milk jug. I'm sure it was super smooth. Ma-in-law thought it was distilled water.

hehe

Idk if this applies to you, but bariatric surgery cures sleep apnea

How do the doctors know if it's working?

May 14, 2020, 1:51 PM

Do you have to go back in a month for a CPAP smear?

Make sure you find the right mask.

May 14, 2020, 9:52 PM

Don’t be afraid to change if you aren’t sleeping well and it’s bothering you after an adjustment phase.

I started of with a nasal pillow thinking it would be less invasive. Turns out I’d just open my mouth and defeat the whole purpose. Took me about a year to change to a full mask. I use mine even if I just want to take a nap.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Right now, I'd just like to have a mask.

May 15, 2020, 7:17 AM

It was supposed to come in yesterday. Got hung up in Columbia. I got the Dreamwear full face mask to start with. We'll see how it goes.

So... My CPAP journey ACTUALLY begins tonight.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's what they were going to give me

May 15, 2020, 8:44 AM [ in reply to Make sure you find the right mask. ]

told them I sleep with my mouth open.

Turns out it has a chin strap.

Told them I have terrible allergies and my sinuses don't allow me to breath out of my nose a lot.

I'm a typical mouth breather.

Full face mask.

With a full beard.

It leaks.

A lot
