You know why Clemson doesn't have power hitters?

...because if they were good power hitters they wouldn't be playing college baseball.

You're right, the best baseball players, and especially the best power hitters out of high school don't go into the majors.

Most good power hitters, just like pitchers that can sling

it 100 mph, probably do go straight to the pros, so I see your point. My point is simply that we don't appear to have much power this year, even for a college baseball team, and especially compared to some of our competition. Plus, we've had guys in the past that were real threats to go long, whether you want to call them "power hitters" or not, and so far, we seem to be missing that. It's a long season though, and that can change.

I agree though, they have silent so far. I'm hoping Boulware shakes out of his funk. Batson would be an interesting addition to the lineup if he's healthy, at least in terms of power.

Power hitting is more than HRs, it includes hitting for extra bases. Clemson has done as well or better than SC in hitting doubles and triples. In our series, timely hitting and stringing together hits has been more of an issue for yall than power hitting. Fielding on the other hand...
