Spurrier's 101/2 season at USC

seven 5 plus loss seasons, a 2-4 season, he only had 3 great seasons at USC out of 101/2. If he would have finished the season he would have left USC with the most wins and losses in school history.

That probably is why he left when he did. Really, the reason he left is he probably got confronted by Ray Tanner about his "success" this year, and Spurlid just told Tanner what he could do with (where he could put) the job.
