Nc state beat wake 35-17 but FSU only beat wake 24-16

If that's any indicator then Nc state might be the bigger test of the two. Obviously FSU has better athletes but only beating wake by 8 is pretty bad.

State played Louisville pretty tough too but lost.

I'd say that we should win but taking state lightly on the road would be dumb.

I don't think the transitive property is very useful to compare which team we will have more trouble against. Football is all about matchups and strengths vs weaknesses. Florida State is definitely the more talented team, and that couple with their recent success against us makes them a much more formidable opponent IMO. I do like the fact that their biggest strength is their running game with Dalvin Cook, and we've proven to be lights out against the run.

WF's tackling was atrocious in NC State game, they arm tackled left and right and seemed to be always out of position. I'd like to think we are light years beyond their skill level.

I'd only agree with you if you had said that NCST is the tougher game because it's away. Between the two on a neutral field FSU is the tougher team.

Using that same logic, we could go back the other way by saying NCSU lost to Lville which is the same team that FSU beat fairly easily. You can't really just take a snapshot of one game to judge a team. FSU is more talented than NCSU.

Quit looking for reasons to not trust our coaches ability to keep our team focused each week and our players realization that one loss will cost them the goal they've been chasing. As fans our job is support, believe and cheer...the rest is up to the coaches and players.
