I have seen a lot of basketball in my time and we have never been a basketball program. In the 80' and 90's we did things to get players it wasn't always the right way either. It always will be a difficult job to win in basketball at Clemson. Winning in basketball at Clemson is equivalent to South Carolina winning in football. We play in a very difficult league and the administration didn't support the program the way it should have years ago.

But to fill Littlejohn you don't have to win every game. All you got to do is be competitive, win the ones you should and don't get blown out in the ones you can't win.

Rick Barnes was competitive with 4 freshmen and a sophmore his first year and the place was packed, it was electric. I also remember very well standing room only crowds when Ralph Sampson & Othell Wilson came to town. The Tigers didn't win but it went 2 over times. It was a great night and the crowd loved the show.

Bottom line, you gotta be competitive, you gotta put on a good show. And it has been done in Clemson and can be again with the right leadership.......

this may be his last year or not. I don't think he will stoop so low as to resign or walk away in the middle of the season like someone else.
