2021 Seat Assignments question

Am I correct in understanding that foregoing tickets AND getting a refund does not change your 2021 seat assignments if you choose to stay in your same location, paying 2021 dues and ticket prices? (So all those gaining 100 points just get a better shot at bowl tickets etc and not a chance to bump you from your seats?).

Also, Monday’s email seem to suggest you have to “rejoin” IPTAY in 2021 to keep your seats and points, but can’t you just request all but $60 to be refunded to keep your account active?

You can get everything back like this year never happened and then pay IPTAY donation and for tickets next year and get the same seats as you have always had. You don't have to leave any money with IPTAY, but they would appreciate anything you do leave with them. If you leave anything less than 1/2 of your 2020 donation you do not get any bonus IPTAY points.

You can keep the same seats you had this year and previous years for next year provided that you make the necessary seat equity gift associated with your tickets.

A lot of people give more than their equity gift associated with their tickets such as for parking benefits. Thus, there is room for a refund and keep the same tickets depending on IPTAY donation level.

Yes, the points are only used for away game and bowl game

ticket pecking order. And the points would also be used for home game parking pecking order within your same Iptay level. Points mean nothing if you maintain the required Iptay seat equity donation amounts for the seats that you carry year to year.
You don't have to rejoin in 2021 to keep your points. The points you have accrued thus far are your points for the duration of your life. But you will have to rejoin in 2021 and meet all of the deadlines to keep your seats that you have carried year to year.
You can request a 100% refund of your 2020 donation amount paid and your account will still be considered active. Iptay is allowing any member to withdraw from their 2020 account without penalty.
All of this assumes that you paid 100% of your Iptay balance by June 30th and had put in a request for 2020 tickets.
If you have not completed your 2020 Iptay pledge or seat equity amount, or if you have not ordered season tickets for 2020, then you are screwed.
