What does that have to do with history? Prior to the debate most clemson students had no idea who Tillman was and what he'd done.
They erased all the buildings named after Hitler. That happened before I was born yet I still learned that history. Is that erasing history?
Naming a building after someone is an honor. Doesn't mean it's forever. You're not thinking fully. The story of changing the name if done will always be a story therefore your previous history argument will actually enhance and extend the history. Change it back to Old Main. When they named it Tillman did that somehow change the history of Old Main? It was the most important and historic part of clemson at the time it was called Old Main. I'm still aware of it though.

And Memorials are removed from DC. When Grant and Shermon's statues are removed from in front of the capital for the same reasons.
You can't change history each of these men along with Tillman did good thing but did thing that in today's wold are looked down on.
