I have to say, it is much better since COVID and having to make appointments. I was in and out getting a new title, registration, and plate in 10 minutes.

you'll wait outside for 1+ hour(s). Get inside and wait more.

After moving back to SC, had to get state license and new title. Appointment made for 4:00PM to leave early from work. Was well after 5 before I entered the building. Close to 6 before I left.

I would guess the earlier the appt the better. Back up and lunch likely ruin the afternoon slots.
