Question about Mixon hitting the woman

Why were serious charges not brought by the girl or courts? Looks like this is much more serious than one year probation. Is this not assault?
Can the girl now sue him in civil court? If he gets an NFL contract he will have to pay for damages.

Its sickening.

I guess he "showed her who the boss was".

Vile and disgusting behavior. How it wasn't a felonious assault and leaving the scene of crime is beyond me.

The fact OU took him back says it all about that team.

I agree. Lost ALL respect for OU and Bob Stoops. That boy should never again be allowed to play college football. I believe in second chances but not something like this.

Yeah....kept on rolling after an 8 hr surgery to repair 4 broken bones in her face. After 6 months of her jaw being wired shut and being on a liquid diet.

I have a feeling there is a lawsuit out there somewhere.....betting she is waiting until he has some NFL money......or maybe she is going after the school?

Lesson to everyone to keep your hands to yourself....because I anticipate his reaction to being pushed and slapped at is not at all what she expected. Plus her previous arrests for drug charges were brought up during the investigation like that somehow made his reaction okay.

I sure hope he has gotten some anger management help during his 1 year of probation.

The courts have said for years you can't discriminate based on gender.

Her lawyer(s) know they don't have a case.
