I’m a simple guy. I like things simple. If I had a ticket for a baseball scholarship and football, call me crazy, but I’m going baseball to a school like Clemson vs football at peepeestate.
No bias here...

I don't blame the kid. It is hard to not pick football over baseball.

Most of the High School baseball players from up north never started playing their junior or senior season because of the virus.

I find baseball boring, but unless I am a kicker, I’m choosing baseball.

Football just isn’t worth the injury risk and pretty much guaranteed chronic health problems the rest of your life after football. That seems to range from bad knees/hips/ankles at a minimum, to traumatic brain injury as a worst case scenario. No thanks.

I agree with that part of it but we are not 17-18 year old kids thinking like that. He is trying to live his dream.

of physical disabilities, mental handicaps and inability to function as normal humans!
I swear some people just assume the worst outcome in every scenario. Humpty Dumpty fell off the wall and all the idiots couldn't put him together again.
Seems to me plenty of football players have done quite well post playing years? Glad not everyone wants to live in bubbles! We wouldn't have a military that allows you to post on free boards.

I’m a baseball guy and have missed it so bad this year but no way I’m turning down a football scholly which is prob a full ride over a partial baseball scholly ... not to mention IMO the odds of making it are much better in football if your that talented ... good luck to the kid though hope he does well

He is from Pennsylvania so that is a no brainer unless he just loves baseball and has the talent to play in big leagues.

Football is a full scholarship. Baseball would amount to about one third of a scholarship.
