This should be a good game to get some backups playing time.

Sep 15, 2017, 4:17 PM

Coach V should be able to build up our D with practicing against Lamar. It will be a good to see how they respond to a Heisman winner. Also nice that our starters will be able to rest the second half. Adding Louisville has been nothing but great for our team. 44-13 Clemson. I don't want to be too confident.

^^OP was spot on. Brought 72 players and played 70 of them

The reserves got a good 2 quarters of playing time agains UofLs starters.

Wonder if CardinalExpress has awoken from his bourbon induced coma yet?

As long as we come to play and don't shoot ourselves in the foot, I agree with you...the talent level difference is glaring. Someone said it well the other day when they said L'ville is basically Syracuse with LJ...now I'll say personnel-wise they're likely a little better than Syracuse across the board, but no where near teams like: Clemson, Bama, FSU, and OSU; not even close. Take away our TOs last year and the fact that we completely let up and let them get "back into the game" in the second half (mind you even though they did, you could tell we could turn it on and do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted)...we come to play and play like we can, and it won't even be close - last year should've been a 3-4 TD victory.

Re: This should be a good game to get some backups playing time.

Sep 15, 2017, 6:18 PM

No offense, but I can "if" and "but" a scenario where we would have left DV last year triumphant. If James Quick, whom probably blazed one before the game, had better situational awareness, we would be first and goal inside the three.

Syracuse with Lamar Jackson? Yeah, that's an accurate analysis.

Not.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What causes lewisville fans to be so confident?

Sep 15, 2017, 6:29 PM

Your team is a one man team this year... Lamar Jackson. Your schedule is an absolute joke. 2 games in and struggled against 2 teams that won't play on bowl games. If you had any bit of a schedule you'd be 6-6.

If Patrino was smart he would bench Lamar so he could still finish the season 11-1 without him getting hurt against Clemson. Good luck man and try not to drink too much of that famous Kentucky Scotch.

Re: What causes lewisville fans to be so confident?

Sep 15, 2017, 6:39 PM

You did forget the argument that Clemson will shut Jackson down because Jarrett Stidham spent most of his time on his back last Saturday.

That's a great comparison. Stidham vs LJ.

Beating Auburn is always a good win. But don't fool yourself, That wasn't sCam Newton running the War Eagle offense last weekend.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

When was the last time lousiville beat Auburn???

Sep 15, 2017, 6:41 PM

And no one is claiming that about Lamar. The only similarities between them is their ability to get sacked numerous times each game.
