Anyone here trading options on the daily?

Started about a year ago after many years in stocks and have at times paid for an expensive education. But I'm starting to learn from my mistakes and things have been very good lately.

TSLA and AMZN calls killed it for me today.

Just wanted to toast with anyone who also is having a good day!!!

allows. mostly swing type of trades and/or playing earnings reports.

don't have the time to get on it daily and haven't figured out how to automate these trades yet like futures.

You have bigger balls than me to play with ERs...I have been burned too many times and now have a rule that I alwyas sell prior to ERs.

and don't allocate too much of your portfolio there, option prices are at stupid highs with all of the volatility and the market is on a bull run. If it flips back all of those calls will quickly to zero.

Also please don't do anything stupid like selling naked calls and getting margin called

Thanks! I am playing the volatility too and switching between calls and puts. Added VIX calls for some protection tomorrow.

I don't trade on margin...learned that lesson. Options give plenty of leverage without it.

your max loss will be what you invested...which sounds like what you are doing so keep having fun with it.

Where people run into trouble is when they put on spreads that require selling options and get assigned the shares (100 shares per contract) or they sell options with unlimited loss potential and get margin called.'

Won big with SPY calls today as well. Your story sounds like mine. Learning continues to be painful at times, but gaining more and more consistency. CHEERS!
