Y'all, have I failed as a Clemson fan?

I am an alumnus. I am an IPTAY donor. I am a Clemson Alumni donor.

But, a coot coworker (and friend) just told me, "You're all right ... for a Clemson guy."

Now I doubt my fan status.

Think nothing wrong of this. The coot is just trying to be nice to you in hopes that you will not brag too much after we win another national championship.

It's not a reflection on you.

It means he's given up as a coot. He will likely continue to tell you he supports them and even get excited when they win, but he has moved on from the passion that he once had.

I did take a psychology class and almost got a C grade, so I do feel as though I can give some input on this matter!
You have done nothing wrong, The coot fan, is in a deep dark and lonely place, surround only by coot like minded people. They are in their inner self yearning to be free, to be a Tiger fan! Your failing will only come if you do not help them realize their dream of being a winner!

You have a coot friend? How is that like? I have heard the rumors but never seen it in real life.

My guess he will seek a good recommendation at his next parole hearing.
