Top 5 best Clemson bowl games ever

Saw an article on SI that listed the top 10 bowl games of all time and was wondering what you thought the top 5 Clemson bowl games of all time are? Really curious to hear about some of the older bowl games, like pre 1980 (like the 1982 Nebraska game, which should be everyone's #1!).

Well...the 82 Orange Bowl is No. 1 IMO....

My memory isn't good enough to recall the ones I didn't attend, but I was in the Georgia Dome in 2013 for the LSU game and it was incredible! Only thing that sucks is that all the photos I have from that day are with my ex-wife. Whatcha gonna do? Anybody good with photoshop?

5.... 2004 Peach Bowl vs. Tennessee
4.....1989 Citrus Bowl vs Oklahoma
3.....1978 Gator Bowl vs. Ohio State
2.....2016 Orange Bowl vs. Oklahoma


And the Top ranked Clemson Bowl of all time......


1..... 1982 Orange Bowl vs. Nebraska

Here are 8 off the top of my head that were good

I would probably put 1982 Orange (when I was still a lad), 1951 Orange, and 2016 National Championship up there. Probably the Chick Bowl against LSU (4th & 16).

2014 Orange win over OSU (penalties kinda ruined that one a little) might be close. 1989 Citrus over OU was also nice (Barry Switzer).

Don't forget the 1978 Gator (Woody Hayes), or the 1959 Sugar against LSU if you like defensive battles (0-7).

1949 Gator Bowl (48 season, 24-23 over Missouri) is in the Top 5 now and will be there for a long time forward.

I liked the 1988 Citrus Bowl against Penn State. Mainly because with Danny Ford being a run first guy, he came out with a pass from the very 1st play from scrimmage. Rodney Williams threw a strike and Joe PA and Penn never recovered. Loved Joe Pa's quote after the game, "they kicked our ears in".
