Mackensie Alexander: A different kind of cat
Following Clemson’s win over Syracuse last Saturday, coaches and players were leaving the WestZone and turning out the lights on another successful football day when someone noticed a noise and a flickering light in one of the film rooms. It was Mackensie Alexander, already hard at work. Full Story » |

Good article. I wish he hadn't gotten hurt last year, since we're only going to see him for the rest of this year and next year. It's ironic that he will probably leave Clemson as one of our best cbs ever, perhaps the best, yet will have hardly any interceptions. He won't have many ints because everybody is afraid to throw anywhere near him.

He truly is a special player. Love that we finally have a shut-down corner! There's no doubt he can compete against the top receivers in the nation. He had FSU Greene in check the entire night until Alexander slipped and fell down on the long TD. He was the 4th rated player coming out of High School and he's turning out to be a tremendous asset for our secondary and team in general! Go Tigers!

A CB is at his best when you rarely hear his name

There is a reason we've seen so much of Peters on the TV this year, it's because teams are not throwing at Alexander. He's great and jamming or tunneling a WR into a position that makes throwing to them difficult and when teams try 9 out of 10 times he's right there to make a play. He should have had 2 INTs against FSU but Greene was savy and knocked the ball out of his hands. Heck he could have had a pick against Cuse but knocked it down instead.

Even now I would rate him one of the top 20 corners in the country , as a redshirt freshman. He locks the recievers down one on one , and he always has himself in the right position it seems to me . The guy has a fire in his belly .

Look at the stats he has 468 snaps this season. Second is Stephone Anthony with 445. Shows the coaches have great trust in him and he is well conditioned.

I hope he doesn't leave as a redshirt sophomore. Would love to see him stay another year.

Does the AD Department offer Media Interview Training?

I recall that earlier this year that Deshaun Watson was interviewed quite early in the season (after the GA Game - Correct?). In addition, does Clemson University offer a Social Media Relations Class that ALL student take. This class would require mandatory attendance unlike the UNC version.

One of the perks of a top deck seat is that I can see what Alexander's doing.
