And that's why I can't understand them being #1 by the committee when their rankings come out.#4 is the highest they should be, but we know better.

I'm not buying either yet, every other team in the top ten have been tested more than once unlike Bama and UGA

Almost as laughable as Wisconsins schedule.
In Bama's defense though, they had no idea FSU would turn into a dumpster fire.
Wisconsin did not even try to schedule anyone OOC and they should pay the price for that.

The best wins by their conference opponents are Texas A&M over Florida and SC. All of the others have 2 conference win period, Ark over Ole Miss and Ole Miss over Vandy. Ole Miss is only conf win SCs conf opponents have!

there's some other counterfeit metrics that ESPiN uses to persuade you that SOS is meaningless.

Miami has played better teams and they are 8th. Past years should not count towards this one.

theyre doing what theyre supposed to do, killing whoever they have, getting past the gamedays where they dont play well
this whole scheduling stuff whoch occurs usually 4-5 yrs in advance just needs to be regulated for the top caliber teams...

If you watch Bama play, you can tell they are a top team. They are in the same mold as all of the other Bama teams. Great defense + great running game is a pretty good formula to win a lot of games. Four of Bama’s next five opponents are ranked.

Great Defense...

They keep saying this. Then, they play their bowl game and people forget they ever mentioned it.
2014 - beat by TOSU in what felt too easy 2015 - Clemson put up like 400+ yes on them 2016 - Clemson part two
Empirical testing seems to indicate that stuffing SEC teams != "top defense" unless you only apply that standard to "when playing mediocre teams".

Hats off to DW4. He’s proving in the nfl just how elite he is.
If it isn’t the defense then what do you think we should credit for this historic run that Bama is on?

Yep .... 3 of the 4 were appointed when the polls would pick out a "powerhouse" like Notre Dame for the sacrificial "championship" game.

Most of those were due to the BCS system.

ESPiN loaded the preseason AP polls with SEC teams and the SEC scheduled weak out of conference teams.
The results was that the SEC showed an astounding out of conference win/loss record therefor when conference games started and a top ten SEC team lost to another highly ranked SEC team the movement seldom dropped them out of the top 25. They built an empire on the backs of hype and having an SEC team in every BCS CCG.
Note that the SEC was represented nine times in eight years. Fishy?

And the SEC seven straight national titles. Average margin of victory was over 16 points. So it kinda looks like the empire was built on one sided national championship games. There certainly weren’t any acc challengers from 06-12. 4 of the 7 acc champs in that span had L’s to SEC teams.
Sometimes you just gotta give credit where credit is due. Nick Saban has put out some dominant teams since he’s been at Bama.
Really curious as who you think should have been in the championship game ahead of ND? Oregon, the team that didn’t win their conference? Stanford, who had lost to ND? Ou, who had lost to ND? Kansas State? Lol. FSU? Who had lost to Florida?
Which acc team in that span stood a chance against the sec representative?
