I agree! FSU’s AD has already bungled it.

Calling the AD “babe” kills his credibility

Just tells me he thinks he’s better than the AD and that’s the point of view the article comes from. I see why FSU fans have an issue with him.

Bianchi shoule not have referred to Coburn as "Cobes." I agree.
The tone of the article is condescending. That is not uncommon with Bianchi.
But, the content of the article is spot on.

Reminds me of an episode of Shark Tank, where an incredibly annoying "entrepreneur"-applicant called Mark Cuban "Cubes". Cuban's incredulous response was "Did you just call me 'Cubes'?" Needless to say, Cuban was "out."
I have to think Bianchi's seen that episode.

That was the whole point of the article

Calling out your AD as a politician who doesn't even know his job as well as a newpaper reporter does. The "Cobes" and "babe" were great touches and totally appropriate to the writer's intent.
I doubt he'd do the same thing in a press conference.

Spurrier and Stoops are in the pic. Stoops was DC at UF before taking the OU job.

Bianchi might be right on this but...

....even a blind squirrel finds a nut. Bianchi is such a dooosh and typically writes such nonsense and garbage he's not to be used as a trusted source for intelligent thought. The Orlando Slantinel truly is a rag paper.

Wow, ok. The writer is out of the NC State School of Etiquette ... but he is right and the tone/style shows that he lack respect of the AD (and rightfully so).
Basically, if Coburn does not land Stoops, then he will no be around long and will set up the next coach for failure.
If he kept mum about it, then it would be a home-run from the dark to land stoops. If he was mum and missed stoops, then no one knew he missed on the first choice (maybe even the next coach). But now he set expectations that they can lure a NC winning coach and constant conference champion as their next HC. There are very few of those so basically any 2nd-15th choice will be a disappointment.
He set the expectations extremely (and unrealistically) high... so anything less than Stoops may be considered a failure.
Finally, also look at this issue. Their NC "expectations" run through Dabo. I think a lot of coaches will see that as a problem when the program expects to do something that even Saban struggles to accomplish - be competitive with Clemson.

Mike Bianchi writes so that people will talk about him more than the subject matter.
Low class, even when there is a shred of truth in an article.

Get a new coach, a new AD, and a new sports writer.
