that "we" think Clowney stinks and that USuCk's defense will suffer when he's gone.
I personally have never said Clowney sucks. I thought he was one of the greatest defensive players to watch in MY time. Do I think he tried everything he could to be the best his junior year? No. I think he was very cautious and understandably so...to a degree.
So don't assume the opinion of a few is the opinion of the masses...you'd have to be blind/wearing orange colored glasses to not see the Clown is legit...

It's called smack talk. Saying someone isn't as good as they are naturally makes one feel better about their teams odds of winning. Nothing wrong with that...people just being fans (even though things are rarely looked at objectively).
As for FSU, don't kid yourself, Clemson was FSU first real challenge of the season and you know that. For FSU to take control of that game, and the rest of the season, it is easy to see why the opinion of FSU radically changed as the season progressed.

Quarles and Hampton is not just a significant loss ...it leaves them with zero experienced playmakers at 3 very key spots. Also , whoever they have at QB will be a droppoff from Shaw ...a precipitous dropoff. Mike Davis is a nice piece but who else ,? I think this is the last year they will see double digit wins for a while. 8-9 shouldn't be the expectation in Cola ...it should be the dream for 2014

No question Hampton is a big loss, but we are fairly deep with defensive tackles.
Offense will be stellar, Shaw was excellent, but Thompson is more than capable at filling that role and is actually a better passer. With Davis, Wilds, Carson and Williams, we are very deep at running back. We return all of our tight ends and receivers and most of our line - plus 2 guys with medical redshirts.
Linebackers will be strong, ends, who knows. If we can find some corners to play next year, we will stay in double digit wins.

Will not be bad at all. Dylan has already played big in important games. DE is the only position of worry to me as a realist Carolina fan. CB has been a position of worry so long that i no longer even worry about it Bc I feel confident they will make it work.
Dylan coming in with an entire returning offense aside from 1 OL will be a pretty good way to start the season.
